Victoria Reynolds

I really enjoy Victoria Reynolds meat paintings. As a vegetarian it is hard to admit this, but I find these images are oddly attractive.

The Future Gallery

The Future Gallery is a new gallery space in Kreuzberg (our big living room) that I along with my wonderful girlfriend have started. The inaugural exhibition, Checking Email is the New Taking a Walk showcasing some of my newest work, will take place from February 22 - 24. We are very excited about this event, as we have worked very hard to make this happen (there is so much involved in starting a gallery that you don't realize until you are right in the middle of it), so to all Berliners please do come out and see what we are up to.
Thankz,
Michael

Polaroidz

As you can probably tell from some of my latest posts, I am getting back into polaroids. In a world of ever-increasing efficiency, it somehow feels right to shoot polaroid (which will soon be no more see this article). I must say I do enjoy the immediate satisfaction of a physical picture object at the moment of exposure. Furthermore, a one of a kind original object. Lately, I have carrying around an old SX-70 Alpha which I love. Above are some shots I took today around Potsdamer Platz.
Vincent Zedelius

Vincent Zedelius has got some interesting projects. I especially like Exercises and Unfortunate Coordinates.

Transmediale

Transmediale is a festival for art and digital culture. There a overwhelming amount of activities from performances to movie screenings which I unfortunately did not get to attend. However, I did attend the main exhibition held at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (The House of World Cultures) which was really great. Some favorites from the exhibtion:
Amazon-Noir - a site that hosts pirated books from Amazon.com
Peter Sandbichler, Be Prepared! Tiger! - a space ship-like vessel (see photo and video above)
Christoph Keller, The Chemtrails Phenomenon - video and images about a conspiracy theory of the patterns in the sky caused by planes.
I also attended the closing party at Maria am Ostbahnhof where I saw the Birthday Party Berlin Crew and Mouse on Mars. In short Transmediale was great and I look forward to seeing even more next time around.
